HYBROW HYPERTEXT UNIX BROWSER AND MENU SYSTEM
Another way to manage files and run programs on our UNIX host is with the
HYBROW Hypertext Browser and Menu system. HYBROW works through telnet by
typing hy from the genetics% prompt. You use the arrow/cursor keys to move
around the menus and make selections.
Here is the Main Menu for HYBROW:

Use arrow keys to navigate, ? for help, q to quit
------------------------------------------------------------------
Note that you can press the ? key to get help with HYBROW. Hints
for what keys to use are on all the menu screens.
There is a Tutorial in the HYBROW Info section that will give you some
practice at making selections from the HYBROW menus. HYBROW is easy to
use even if you don't know any UNIX commands.
The Directory Drowser is like a file manager, in which you can
see a list of your files and subdirectories, view the contents
of the files, edit, copy, delete, and rename files, create new
folders, etc.
You can also use HYBROW to start programs such as email, lynx,
and rtin, and to control the GCG sequence analysis programs.
On the main HYBROW menu, explore each of the items on the menu. When you
get to the information files section, you will find manuals and helpful
information on how to run the programs available on the Genetics computer.
When you are finished with HYBROW, press q to quit, then press return to
answer that you really want to quit. You will be back at the genetics% prompt.
