Claire Plack graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2016 with a BS in Psychology, minors in Chemistry and Spanish, and a certificate in Conceptual Foundations of Medicine. As an undergraduate, she worked in the University’s Student Health Service department as a Peer Health Educator, where she provided students with educational information on a variety of health topics. Claire was also an undergraduate researcher in a behavioral genetics research lab and completed a research assistant internship at the Centre for Brain and Cognitive Development at the University of London, Birkbeck College. To gain advocacy experience, she volunteered with Pittsburgh Action Against Rape’s crisis helpline. She also had the opportunity to shadow genetic counselors in both Chicago and Pittsburgh. In her free time, Claire enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
